What is the Job Collective?

The Job Collective (Southeastern because we’re based in Florida and work mostly out of the Southeast of the US) is a group of individuals who work together to help those who are looking for a job to be connected with those who know about job openings.  There’s also volunteers who help each side.  

We work together and so you don’t have to work individually.  We all know that finding a job is often an individual activity.  You search for a job on your own either by doing a search online, looking in the paper or even going into businesses to leave your resume.  Well, there’s a better way and that way is the Job Collective.

How Can I Find a Job in the Job Collective?

If you’re looking for a job, just contact us.  Our volunteers will get your information and pass it on to people who know about jobs in your area.  Our volunteers will ask about what kind of job you want, what kind of job you’re qualified for and what kind of job you’re mostly likely going to get.

Our volunteers will get your resume or help you write a resume.  That’s important.  The same goes for cover letters.  You’re more likely to get a job with a well written and well structured cover letter.  Not a lot of people take the time to write one, that’s where we help.

In some cases our volunteers will help you get certifications and other educational attainments easy to get so it’s easier to not only get a job but to get the job you want and need.

How Can I Help Others Get a Job in the Job Collective? 

It’s easier than you think.  Sometimes knowing about one job can help one person get that job.  See something, say something.  Maybe you’re an employer and have lots of jobs to offer.  Tell us!  Other times you can just be of help by connecting people looking for a job with others who know about job openings.  Lastly, you can help write or edit resumes, cover letters or help practice for interviews.  We need help in all aspects of job hunting in the Job Collective.
